This variable capacitor is a high voltage, heavy wattage, continuous duty capacitor, insulation between rotor and stator is achieved through 6mm thick, high quality, hylam sheet riveted to the plated steel end plates. These end plates are tied together by solid aluminum hexagon rod and brass bars forming a rigid structure. Rotor rides on gun metal bush housed between the front end plates and the stainless steel shaft. Blades are heavy 0.8mm thick aluminum. length dimension is measured from ends of the mounting feet.
